With
a variety of boot collections including Americana – proudly handcrafted

The legacy created by the humble cobbler, a hard working entrepreneur
with a fierce pride in his craft, lives on. The same commitment to
quality is reflected in the corporation that bears Tony Lama's name
today.
State your name and occupation.
Mike Fuller, brand manager, Tony Lama Boots.
How does your product make a difference?
Tony Lama
Boots is the world’s most recognized western boot brand since 1911 and
symbolizes the history and heritage of the Old West and all that stands
for, including integrity and honesty. In a time when people are looking
for these qualities in a company, I think it’s important they can
continue to rely on our brand. This style in particular is from our
Americana collection which represents boots that are
handcrafted in the USA. I think our commitment to manufacturing
authentic, high-quality boots right here in the U.S. makes a difference
to the people who buy our boots.
What most influences your style?
Tony Lama
Boots styling provides loyal brand consumers the look, fit and comfort
they have trusted for years while offering new looks and features that
fit current needs and trends. Our designers are influenced by the
heritage of our past and the looks and innovation of today.
What are the most important steps in designing and handcrafting a pair of high-quality Tony Lama Boots?
When
it comes to designing boots, I think the most important step is
recognizing what the buyer needs and wants, and determining how the
final product
will deliver that. Whether it’s a boot that is comfortable and will
stand up to years of tough wear on the ranch, or a high-fashion style
that looks great, Tony Lama Boots designs footwear for the person who’s going to buy them.
Each
step in the boot-making process is as important as the last. From
choosing the highest quality materials – to cutting, shaping and dying
the leather
– to hand-stitching and hand-tooling final touches, each step makes the
boot a Tony Lama boot.
What was your first job?
Retailing at legendary Cutter Bill’s Western Wear.
Who is your style icon?
Ralph Lauren and Steve McQueen.
What is your personal soundtrack for summer?
Hmm, well, it varies from great classic rock like The Stones to today’s country from artists like Jason Aldean.
What’s your favorite indulgence?
Enjoying a round of golf.
Describe your style and wardrobe staples.
I would say my style is very traditional. For example, starched pinpoints with flat front chinos and a great pair of square toe Tony Lama Boots with
the occasional navy blazer.
Beer, BBQ, or brownies?
Cold beer.
This lookbook was created for the Americana Conquistador. The entire boot as well as this collection from Tony Lama is hand crafted & stitched in the United States. Boots are made to be broken in & worked in, all while remaining as comfortable as possible.
